The African American Museum in Philadelphia presents ‘Biennial 2000: At the Crossroads’. Initiated this past year in an effort to explore the work of Africa American artists living within the Philadelphia area, the Biennial is a celebration of art that crosses the boundaries, mixing mediums of art. Featuring painting, sculpture, photography and installation, the exhibition looks at the cross-section of visual presentation rather than following long-standing categories for the arts.
