The Picasso Museum hosts this exhaustive exhibition of paintings, drawings, engravings, ceramic work and textiles created by Robert and Sonia Delaunay. The couple are known primarily for their development of the orphism, a combination of fauvist colour, futurist dynamism and analytical cubism that attempted to depict the rhythms but not the appearance of nature. The current show places special emphasis on the seven years from 1914 to 1921 that the pair spent living and working in Portugal and Spain.
