The travelling exhibition ‘Extreme Deep: Mission to the Abyss’ makes its national début when it comes to Boston’s Science Museum for a four-month stay. It takes an in-depth look at a strange world that nobody knew existed until quite recently, when new advances in undersea-exploration technology allowed scientists to explore depths of up to 15,000 feet. It features a replica of the submersible three-person submarine Alvin, robotic vehicles and interactive exhibits about everything from shipwrecks to various new forms of sea life that have been discovered recently.
