This lush and very attractive new restaurant near the Bastille is good news for anyone who really loves Thai cooking, since Oth Sombath, former chef at the Blue Elephant and L’Asian is in the kitchen here, sending out food that’s delicate, delicious and perfectly seasoned at rather more modest prices than you’d pay at either of his previous outposts. The décor is very attractive, and the more moderate prices are attracting an interesting and friendly crowd for dishes like great Thai soups and salads to start, followed by steamed prawns or beef with shallots, mint and coriander. Portions are on the smallish side, so order lavishly, and go for one of the less expensive rosés for a perfect summer meal.
